31 franchises will have fans saying "I told you we wouldn't win" it's literally the easiest prediction to make, you also should add the fact that he claimed he would be the first to admit he was wrong but then decided to move the goal posts after he won
What goal posts did I move bud?

Wild are 2 back with a game in hand
How many top teams have the Wild played and won?
You see the fluke game winning goal they scored tonight?
Wild are a good team but they will go on a losing streak too. The Panthers just finished a losing streak but 3 of their wins were against 1st place teams.
People need to relax you can’t win them all and as you can see injuries are more important than losing to a top team.

Fell asleep after the first intermission, guess my brain knew the outcome after that late first period goal by the Golden Showers. Woke up after Vegas scored their fourth goal, and after the exciting finish, the Jets end up losing another one. I guess the winning was fun while it lasted. I give this game three "D'oh!s" out of five...

The Prediction Contest for the game against the Dallas Scars has been posted for your guesses. No one has claimed the game, so if you would like to make the GDT for it, you are more than welcome to give it a go. See you all Sunday! Good night...

Not sure what we were thinking on a number of choices today.

Why did we give Comrie the start against Vegas? Why was Miller scratched at all? Why were both Stanley and Coughlan in. Why did we FINALLY put Coughlan in against a strong team like Vegas? Why didn’t we pull Comrie at the beginning of the PP?

banking those points early was great because this schedule is probably the worst one we've had since they came back, I'll give my prediction, once the jets have some rest they will start outplaying and winning games again

our schedule is brutal and helle needs rest, miller hasn't been great the past few games, coghlan actually played a pretty good game considering it was his first of the season

As a side note TNSE are going ahead with the purchase of Portage Place further cementing their foot print downtown. Hopefully this will be a positive undertaking for the downtown.
isnt this somewhat old news? I thought they made an announcement like a month ago, no?

I know people get upset over losing but to put things into perspective. Check games played between top teams … Avs beat VGK next game they lost to Dallas. Dallas beats the Avs but lost to the Canes the previous game. Majority of the time the top teams record playing each other usually is around .500.

Boy did Stanley ever get walked on Howden’s first goal.

Hopefully these losses has Chevy focused on identifying team needs for a playoff run.

IMO, this team could use more size, grit, speed and skill at fwd and on d for playoffs, with a focus on size, compete and skating ability.

The type of players I’d be looking to add to lineup:

- Salomonsson
- Lambert
- Trouba
- Kakko
- Nelson

Replacing players like:

- Pionk (competes but just too small and slow)
- Stanley (simply a liability, other than size he offers very little to lineup. Fact he gets in lineup so often speaks to Jets love for big physical d. His negatives outweigh his positives)
- Ehlers (not convinced you can win with him in playoffs)
- Names (or move to 4th line, not top 6)

Better teams are not too worried about the mobility and physically (or lack there of) of Jets D. I’d love to see Trouba and Salomonsson back there giving opposing forwards plenty to think about when cruising in the neutral zone or entering the Jets zone. Trouba is likely not an option, but Salomonsson is. Hope he’s in the lineup by the end of the season and gains valuable playoff experience.

Lambert would get eaten alive by the teams we've played recently imo. Way too indecisive and turnover prone still.

Always sucks to lose but that felt a lot better than the loss to LA. Felt like it could have gone either way.

Finished watching the replay. I thought the team played hard but some mental lapses really cost us.

Another poster mentioned it but you definitely can see the effects of a lack of top skill when we lose a couple of players. Snerg is a massive lose, Fleury can't handle those minutes.

We have a number of dmen that can be plugged and played in the bottom pairing but we don't have anyone that can be counted on to step into the top 4 if one goes down. This is probably where Chevy needs to look for an upgrade.

Hope fly is only day to day as the coach indicated

Glad to see Cole finally get rewarded with a couple of goals, he had a strong game. Thought he made some real heady d plays and was throwing his weight around.

I thought Scheifele also had a good night. He was battling hard and making the hard plays. Real sound in his end as well. But he's definitely not close to 100%. His shot is really off, a 100% Mark buries atleast one of those looks he got tonight.

Barron is another player that really hasn't started the year well. Wonder is his spot is safe.

JoMo is still doing Norrissey things offensively but he hasn't been quite as solid defensively as he was last year. He definitely needs his partner to step up and play like he can. DeMelo showed some signs of his usual self tonight.

Stanley needs to get his breakouts under control. He miffed on them a number of times tonight which caused issues in his end. Those should be automatic at this level. Other then that he played well. I don't blame him on their first goal, it was Barron who put him in an awful spot with that nice "assist" to Howden.

I'm real interested in seeing what the plan is if Fly is out for a bit. Cole likely takes his spot on pp1. That will open a slot on PP2 which they could choose to go a number of different ways with.
