Vaughn buys out Eagle

I just received news that Vaughn has bought out Eagle.
Apparently it was finalized on Monday. From what I'm hearing, Vaughn has already begun renovations to the plant in London to move Eagle in there over the next three months. Vaughn will be operating Eagle and Vaughn under the same roof but as two different businesses. According to my sources, the plan as of right now is to produce the same product lines that are being produced now on both the player and goalie side of things.

Good. All that Eagle is are 2 guys who used to work for Vaughn and broke away to start Eagle.

Hmm, wonder where they got their ideas?

Wrong on that info Harv. Here is the actual business history for you and anyone else who cares:
Vaughn was operated by entrepreneur Ross Agathos who eventually sold it to a group that included former NHLer Andy Moog. A condition of sale was that Agathos could not be involved in a similar business venture (hockey equipment manufacture) for a certain number of years. Once that time period elapsed Agathos started up Eagle.

I have not heard of this supposed sale of Eagle to Vaughn. Interesting if true. But IMO Agathos already has enough money & Eagle seems to be running smoothly, I can't understand why he would sell at this point??

Excatly. All Agathos had to do was keep their head above water until they were allowed to make goalie equipment.

I never understood their sizing of their gloves. Would love to pick up a pair if I could figure it out

it's not hard to figure out. Senior standard size is 14"

Eagle X72 = 14"
so...
Eagle X72i = 13"
Eagle X72+ = 15"

Now the confusing thing is some older models such as the X50/X51. Then their are different models with similar names such as X72 vs X70 or cp94 vs cp92. Or slightly different styling of cp94 vs cp95. Etc...
