Thats the most self explanatory part, Horvat and Myers have never won anything important in this league. (I think Myers has a calder but so does Raycroft so, yeah.)

We are a team renowned for not being able to get over the hump, bringing in more guys who havent won anything doesnt exactly help that, especially for that ridiculous price tag.

This isnt Anze Kopitar or patty kane or anybody who has achieved something. This is a captain whos only ever been to the playoffs twice and Tyler Myers.
Only twice. OK.

Leafs don't need another C, then need an above average starting goaltender, a top-pairing dman and a 3rd line forward that can provide secondary scoring and some size/toughness in the lineup.

They are a miles from being a cup contender.

Yes, horvat has been to the playoffs only twice. Literally.

here you go, so you can look into yourself.

That was super difficult to find.

You dont have to like it but the leafs arent spending those kinds of assets on a third line center and a terrible bottom pairing defenceman that makes 6 million before retention, them being inexperienced in the playoffs for how old they are just magnifies how they are not a target worth spending more than minimal assets on.

I would 100% take Horvat on this team at 50%, i would not be willing to give up any asset listed in this proposal for him because hes not a need and he has no experience winning.

I would 100% not take Myers on this team at any retention unless he was coming back with assets that made sense for Toronto.

Neither of these scenarios makes sense for Vancouver.
Look Myers is not a #1 or 2 RHD, but his numbers look pretty good as a 3/4...........he has been our best RHD, and has decent numbers for a 3/4

Sure, we can retain this and next year........2 million, and we want a 1st for that...............or you can go get Gudbranson, if you want...........I am sure he is available (he was a mess here..........he is worth 4 million

Good for him, he would be a great third line center.

Because that would be stupid. You dont move on from players because they dont win, you insulate them with a winning culture. Bringing in guys like Horvat, who likely doesnt remember what the playoffs even feels like isnt going to help.

Not that you care, youre a habs fan whos only here to stir things up as usual.

Sweet, they should lead you to the finals in the insanely weak west this year then, eh?
Yes very good.. very good indeed.

I don’t like your logic, if you take that path you are excluding yourself from acquiring a ton of players that can help the Leafs win.

I don’t do this as a Canucks fan. We should be able to get a 1st, a 2nd, and someone like Robertson for Horvat with retention. Myers at 3mil has good value, I’d want more for that.

They’ve won a few playoffs series, more than Matthew’s and marner

Reminds me of the JT Miller trade talk, as to what the Canucks could get for him. A pick, a player and a prospect etc. Maybe two firsts. Or a very high first and a second +. You know.

I don't see the Leafs being in play here.

Bo would be a good addition if possible, Myers not so much.
