Bro you know he is in Jersey right. I would not pay more than a 5th and Schaller.Philly fans.
Can he still skate? Would a third get it done?
Because Vancouver needs a true top 6 player not another 3rd line who can move up. Simmonds game has fallen off as well.Don't really see why this is getting so much shade. Simmonds on a good team is a .5 ppg mid six guy with a physical presence. He has an expiring contract, and the ask is not a likely to be too high. It's a low risk potentially mid-reward move.
Legit had no clue lmaoBro you know he is in Jersey right. I would not pay more than a 5th and Schaller.
Canucks don’t have the cap space. However, schaller is an expiring contract too. We’d probably give up more/higher pick if devils take back baertschi though. Why are the Devils taking back a cap dump for an expiring contract?
The cost of moving a pure cap dump with term like baertschi is high.Canucks don’t have the cap space. However, schaller is an expiring contract too. We’d probably give up more/higher pick if devils take back baertschi though.

Tim Schaller
Sven Baertschi
2020 VAN 3RD (becomes 2ND if VAN advances to WCF
to
Wayne Simmonds (25% retained)
Higher conditional pick for taking Baertschi. If no Baertschi:

Tim Schaller
2020 VAN 4TH (becomes 3RD if VAN advances to WCF)
to
Wayne Simmonds (50% retained)
No way in Hell would I give second for Simmonds. Better off just waiting for Leivo or Ferland to come back as they are better players. Or add a prospect to the second and get some that is a top six player like Toffoli.to

Yep, exactly. Is Simmonds coming with a time machine and some sensu beans for his broken down body?
You don't have your first available, so NJ would ask for Demko, as anything else, which fits the Devils needs and timeline, is too much or not enough. How about Coleman?
NJ could easily swallow the Baertschi contract. If you want to include Baertschi or any unwanted piece with term, you upgrade your offer elsewhere, though. Dumping Baertschi alone warrants at least a third round pick.I mean, the second is conditional on playoff success... hard to be too upset about that.
Ideally it would be Schaller/Baertschi/3rd (no conditions) but why does NJ do that?
