Pretty cheap for a top 6 forward. Thanks Benning!
I remember about a decade ago he was getting a LOT of hype on these boards. Not everyone works out but it's nice to see him win a spot with a PTO.
Good luck Jack!

He's a bottom 6 guy that continues to get chances because of his draft position...
He's like a David Rundblad...
Tremendous signing. This is the kind of move that the Canucks will look back on as being the impetus to an outstanding season. I mean, **** all those guys in the minors that have been working their ass off for spots in the lineup. Let's give a bottom 6 role to a journeyman 30 year old with no ceiling. Outstanding work.

Jack Skille is the type of player you can count on to miss a few games due to injury anyway. Even if you wanted to slot him in every night, he would inevitably get hurt by playing too hard. Signing a guy like him guarantees that the young guys still get some timeTremendous signing. This is the kind of move that the Canucks will look back on as being the impetus to an outstanding season. No difference here than with Adam Cracknell (6'2" 211lbs) we had last year; who ended up being waived at the end of February and claimed by Edmonton. I expect Skille to be waived at some point if Rendulic, Labate, or Megna have strong seasons in the AHL.
Having watched plenty of Skille last year and having Rendulic in our farm system for 2 years, there's zero chance Rendulic pushes out Skille.
Colorado fans...What can we expect out of him??

There were really two versions. Pre- and post-concussion Skille. Pre-concussion Skille was easily one of our best bottom 6 forwards. He has enough skill to make plays against weaker competition, and he was a puckhound. Post-concussion Skille looks timid and definitely took the foot off the pedal for awhile. It's understandable coming back from a concussion but I also believe that's why he wasn't brought back.
You guys will love Skille as long as he's in your bottom 6 and back to his old self.
I love Jack Skille. He is getting up there in number of jerseys worn.

yeah, no.
If you're talking about your EA NHL lineup sure. In the real life stuff, yeah he's more of a 4RW with ok hands and lots of drive. Probably still sees less ice than Dorsett considering Willie D'ontKnowWhatImDoing is still running the coaching staff

The usual Canucks' narrative is that Skille plays well until December, then hits a wall. His game will slip to the point that he is untradeable at the deadline. In the final ten games he will show distinct improvement, so that he can get another contract, away from Vancouver.
