As a Flyers fan, I’d offer up a multiple combination of any players picks and prospects for Petersson, just not Michkov. The point to get a player like Elias is to play with him, not instead. He’s more than just a player to the Flyers now.

Anything else is on the table.

BTW this is not saying that Petersson does not warrant a package like that. For example, I may do it if it’s Cutter Gauthier instead, but that ship sailed.

The Flyers as an organization have their rebuild plan based on Michkov becoming the generational talent that some think he can become. He won't be dealt let alone as part of a package.

Elias Pettersson is elite, but the flyers are not taking the chance on losing a potentially generational player in Michkov let alone with the additional cost of TK and a 1st.
It's just interesting seeing a thread where a Flyers fan is wondering how they could ever get a #1C, and when in a parallel thread a trade proposal comes up for one, every Flyers fan is against it.

So apparently Philly fans don't want an elite #1 center?
Philly fans are thinking number 1 centers that are top 10 in scoring grow on trees and you can get them by trading a bunch of apples. And Petersson is a young center who can turn it around. I wouldnt trade Petersson for bunch of low value grinders and picks. Canucks would need a blue chip prospect or some young phenom coming back.

They want 1C to play with Michkov, not to trade him for, though.

I doubt it...
Sorry but you wont get a young superstar 1C for peanuts unless you draft one yourself. Lets be realistic here.

Sure buddy, suddenly Petersson is underrated while an unkonown prospect is valued like McDavid.
Mitchkov is an elite winger prospect with Patrick Kane or Martin St Louis level potential.

If he comes in as a rookie and scores 70+ points, that's 3 years of a very young superstar for less than $1m cap hit. And almost a decade younger than Pettersson, who also makes WAY way higher cap hit. Just because he is "unknown" to you, that doesn't mean that people who pay attention don't know how much Mitchkov might end up potentially being worth.

The best thing for Philly to do is to keep Mitchkov and see how he does in the NHL. If you trade him, you won't get high enough value from other teams as compared to how good this kid could be if he reaches his potential.

So Bedard wasn't unknown, Celebrini isn't unknown and Michkov is unknown? Btw Michkov was better than Celebrini at WJC when he just turned 17...

Of course, and the Flyers fans are ready to give a lot. Just not Michkov.
