Confirmed with Link: [VAN/NYR] JT Miller, Erik Brannstrom, & Jackson Dorrington for Filip Chytil, Victor Mancini, and 1st 2025 (Top-13 Protected, Unprotected after)

For those of you bangingon Chytil I suggest you go and read Rangers boards re him. It's all "hes a good player etc. BUT he's one hit away from his career being over." That has obviously dinged his value but I gathered if he could stay healthy people generally thought he would be a very solid player. IF being the optimal word here........

I recall reading that he changed his training over the summer to train with Jagger and he came back stronger this year and more confident about taking damage as apparently he's had some collisions this year..........So I'm cautiously optimistic here.........

Let's see how he does in a 2nd line Center role here.........I wonder who he's gonna play with? Boeser and ?

Reactions: Baby Pettersson
Some video of Mancini being physical - mix of AHL and NHL clips.

Dang boyy has some aggressiveness..........he just went to the top of my "Most Interesting Prospects" List..........He absolutely can't be worse then some of the tomato cans we've seen. I think all of us will do a prayer once Juuulsen is banished to another Universe, never to be seen again........holy fuk what a tire fire with him please dear god make him leave........

I can't speak to the degree of unrest, I'm just speaking about the timing. Take it to the TDL.

Miller must have been at some level for this to be purely addition by subtraction. I don't doubt he was the major problem. To me, it was never an even issue between him and Pettersson. But they took it this far sacrificing the room, just take it a bit futher.

Anyway, I hope you're right. That this removes a lot of toxin from that room and they can get back to just playing.

Again, I think it speaks to the level of toxicity for them to move him now. They needed/wanted him gone. This was not just about on ice interests.

What worries me is Pete is in the cross hairs now. If this doesn't work out (it won't) well the shield that JT Miller was doesn't exist anymore. Goodluck...

I am not worried. Remember we spent years discussing Petey’s performance against other top Cs? Well if he can’t perform under pressure we aren’t going anywhere anyways. But ya right now I am not confident and I don’t have high expectations.

he beefed with Henrik Lundqvist of all players.
I think Tampa traded him for cap reasons.

tampa could have kept him if they wanted to. they chose yanni gourde over him instead

someone connected with the red wings and the u michigan program told me there was zero chance yzerman would ever trade for miller again after acquiring him in tampa

The urgency of the trade speaks to the impact on the room. It wasn't just a Miller - Pettersson thing anymore.

Disagree with you here. Current day Chytil is much better than current day Kreider.
You can disagree but a contending team won’t (position needs aside). I will bet on Kreider playing better over Chytil staying healthy.

This is about where I land, wish they would have waited for the deadline. I suppose one reason is they may want to maximize the evaluation window to see how Pettersson performs without the distractions before his NMC kicks in.
