Depends on the DeBrusk they get. He can look like a $7 mil forward one night then a $1-2 mil the next. Has the tools but not the consistency. Likeable guy and he'll be missed in Boston, but they couldn't afford to give him this type of deal.

His age is the most important part here, seven years for a player that’s only 27 years old, that’s perfectly fine.

He’s gonna get a much bigger opportunity here as well

Nice deal. Would have taken him back in Boston for this. ~$500k too much but he's still young, productive, and great in the playoffs. Can play in all situations.

Bit of a down year this year, but for as incredibly inconsistent as he is, he'll give you ~20 goals and ~40 points every year. Slight overpayment now but will look better over the years.

To set expectations - he will go ~10 games in a row doing absolutely nothing. At least 4 times a season. Followed by 3-4 straight multi point games.

Im gonna be honest and say I dont know too much about the player.
The 7 years term is a big commitment.
