Damn I really like Aman. He's only 24 and he doesn't make many mistakes. Not very physical and doesn't really have any standout attributes, which is why he is a struggles for ice time.

Definitely would be a likely claim by the Avs but I'm not sure what the order is - the Avs already made a claim with picking up Ludvig earlier. Aman is dirt cheap and servicable and a center - I can see multiple teams being interested in him as an improvement at the end of the bench type of guy.

Doesn't move the needle whatsoever but doesn’t hurt you either.
Overall decent replacable depth but not much else.

Very vanilla 13th forward but can take regular NHL shifts without looking out of place and is generally responsible in his own zone.

Would not be surprised if he's taken but also wouldn't care that much.
Cope ? Or is this a sincere statement

He’s still getting better, Avs/Red Wings are gonna turn him into a solid 3rd liner

NJ lost two 4th liners to injury this week in Lazar and Bastian, so they might make some sense. Lack of organizational depth at center, too....

Wouldn’t mind him down the middle in Anaheim over lunderstrom.

Aman could carve out a career as a 2-3C with Backlund - esque production. More untapped potential than just a 4c

No chance he passes through

He's not a bad 4th line player. He's got size, speed, defensively responsible, with PK utility. But he's just so utterly non-dynamic. He has the tools to make more of an impact, but i don't think he's really got the mentality for it. He's not physical enough and he's a total zero offensively.

Wouldn't be shocked if a team with some injuries or a bad bottom-6 took a flyer on him, but also wouldn't be remotely surprised if he clears. He's just...not the sort of player that garners much of a second look.

He's fine as a 4th liner. He won't hurt you offensively or defensively, and he can play a little center. He's a decent PK'er.

I wish he would have added more to his game, he's very vanilla. No creativity what so ever.

This is something everyone should keep in mind on MOST waived players. The GM most likely tried to trade him for a token low draft pick and nobody was willing to give up one of their least valuable assets for him. The thought that he’s secretly a highly desirable player that a team wasn’t willing to give a seventh rounder for because they’re counting on being the only waiver claimant and save that draft pick is nonsense.

If a player got waived, there was low demand. Unless something literally changed between the hour of waiving and the hour of claiming… chances are the same 31 teams that said ‘no’ when the gm was trying to move him for value, still say no when the price goes from a low pick to a waiver fee.
