Seems like Brannstrom was going to end up getting waived by the Avs, so they got a free pick and a guy they'd just throw on LTIR for him. Not a bad move by Colorado.

Poolman is worse.
Poolman is LTIR fam. Avs had too many defenders and got rid of one after claiming Ludvig yesterday. Brannstrom lost his spot.

Avs sign Brannstrom late this summer, put him thru training camp and pre-season where he was a complete dud, and traded him for 4th before ever really skating for the team. Couldn’t get an easier draft pick if you tried. C Mac cooking.

Canucks don't want to be on LTIR, the Avs don't need to until both Landy and Nuke are back at which point they need to make more cap moves. At least that's how I think this one is?
