This biggest concern is his skating ability, pretty average by pro standard AND he’s not going to get the PP opportunities with Hughes and Hronek on the team

The consensus on Calgary Puck seems to be that they're happy the Flames are loading up the Canucks so the Canucks can knock out the Oilers in the playoffs.
