I'm more interested in why our PP forwards are losing races up the ice to Tyler Myers. Not that he's slow once he gets going, but they let him by and that's the kind of laziness that has been killing us down the stretch.

I think it's interesting that with Monahan coming back they didn't go back to the five man unit that was working earlier in the year, instead they bumped Voronkov to PP2 and put Jenner in front. Voronkov's net front presence would be the last thing I changed on the PP or changed with his role - I'd sooner take him off the topline than take him off PP1.

He might be better down the lineup where it's easier to keep it simple but I will admit Voronkov hasn't been pulling his weight for awhile now.

He's been fading hard.

The one positive of that is that his next contract will be much lighter.

Protas was given a long term extension after not scoring for an entire month - I think with Voronkov we should be trying to buy low, we ought to know by now what he's capable of.
