I'm for any movement, but Sharks won't give Granlund away cheaply now, and Kevyn won't overpay for rental.

Given the glut of players they have in their system - there are FOUR first rounders in Rochester that aren't done cooking yet - they can afford a bunch of 2nd round picks in future drafts. Granted, it's probably a few weeks too late for all of that. *shrug*

I think cost for Granlund will be 1st+ considering his production.

The difference between a Buffalo 2nd and a contender's first is under 10 spots in the draft.
Probably yes, although a few wins and a winning streak are not so close. (What am I even talking about).

I don't mind, I like Granlund. Although we still don't solve our problem with defense.

If I paid a lot of attention to the Insiders, I'd probably be aware that Friedman doesn't do much 'off the cuff' that isn't code for things he's actually hearing innuendo about but for whatever reason isn't eager to float out as a legitimate report.

And if I paid a lot of attention to hockey rumours, I'd probably also be aware that one of Elliotte's pipelines runs through Jim Rutherford.

HFboards might be all about what have you done for me lately, but front office types have a long history of staying in love with certain players and prospects regardless of the season they might be having.

It's no secret Byram (who is actually having a good season) and Cozens have considerable value inside certain league front offices, or that talented players tend to really showcase that talent after leaving Buffalo.

If I was following the breads crumbs here, I might wonder if old Jimmy is getting a little tired of his $11M centre's cold fish act, and is also wondering how much he might be able to squeeze out of a desperate, 2nd-rate GM in danger of losing his job.
Also maybe if you paid attention you would know Jim Rutherford is not the GM.

Might as well talk about Aquillini as the person making the deal since a trade of that level of player would need his sign off.

Otherwise let’s stick to facts and that is Patrick Alvin is he one who is orchestrating roster management for the Canucks.
