O'Reilly makes more sense but my overall question to Nashville fans is do they expect to even make the playoffs any time in the next 3 years while Frosberg is under contract as their top players are really old and their pipeline is kind meh?
We have a top ten pipeline plus 3 1sts this year. Forsberg should still be in good condition when we're ready to contend again.

Eichel had a major spine injury and there were questions about how he would heal afterwards, he also hadn't hit more than 36 goals or 82 points. Forsberg is a 48 goal 96 point player in the middle of his prime, untouchables would need to be on the table for us to consider moving him.
Eichel was also 24 years old

I'm not so sure about top 10 but maybe if one is including your first 2 picks from the 21 draft who have split time in Nashville this year and in the monir still?

What I see is quantity and not very much high end quality in the system.

Phil Forsberg for Vancouver 1st + 2nd rounder in 2025 (unprotected) +Lekkerimaki + Silvos + Raty?

Lekkerimaki
Boeser

?

Nashville gets younger by a bit with a good prospect in Lekkerimaki
Could extend Boeser or just flip him for more futures

Vancouver gets a top line winger to play with Petey and ROR to fill in the 2C hole that's left behind by Miller (unless Chytil keeps it going)

Bad for Nashville. We have three 1sts this year and it's a weak draft. We're not trading Forsberg for a 1st and Lekkermaki and then adding ROR.

L'Hereux and Svechkov? Yes im including them, they're still in their rookie year.

Somehow I doubt that Nashville would get excited by this even with Boser signed and many Canucks fans wouldn't want this either.

Does that make it a fair offer?

Maybe on paper.

As an objective and neutral observer, this deal seems too lopsided for the Preds. Too much youth coming out of Vancouver who is not really a contender to be doing such a thing. Adding those two forwards helps for sure, but Vancouver cannot mortgage the future on a deal like this

You're underrating Forsberg. Vancouver only really gives up Lekkermaki in this deal and they're getting a PPG forward who just had a 48G/96P season last year. This deal doesn't do anything for Nashville.
