Value wise who would you prefer? Power vs Bratt

Value-wise, as the question asked, if both were put up for auction to other teams around the league I’d expect the return to be bigger/greater for Power; simply because he’s a more rare commodity. Brett is undoubtedly a better player today…and if Power plateau’s where he’s at currently his value will drop in the future…but TODAY, Power is more VALUABLE.

even a Dollar General Victor Hedman is more valuable than a one dimensional winger.

One dimensional? He’s a regular on the penalty kill. Usually one dimensional is a term for someone who only plays offensive minutes because he can’t be trusted to play defense, like Laine. Someone who is regularly deployed in both PP and PK situations is an all-situations player.

Hell, Bratt had more average shorthanded time on ice per game this season than Power did.

Bratt had more than triple the hits than the 6'6" Power as well...

Crazy for Buffalo Sabres fans to do the same thing that drives Buffalo Bills fans crazy - when other teams take their middling rookie QB and say "but he had better numbers than Josh Allen did as a rookie!"

Cool man! I'm sure his grandparents are very proud of him. Let's just take the most inconsequential 5% of a Hall of Fame player's career and reverse-extrapolate that generational development backwards and then pretend this other guy who has proven nothing is going to exceed that based on absolutely no evidence.

Onlt major thing Power has over Bratt is that he is 4 years younger. 4 years ago, Bratt was a 30 point forward.

Even that, it was a 56 game season and he missed ten games. 30 in 46 is a pace for 53 per 82. Which is closer to representative of his play already improving (he hasn’t been under 73 since), than just saying ‘30 point forward ’ without context.

If it's for my team now, Power. Bratt is good but he's another small finesse winger which is nice during the regular season but not really helpful in the playoffs. He also isn't much of a playoff guy either. Give me Power, younger, bigger and has potential to be a 1D.

I tried to compare Bratt’s playoff impact to Power’s but I got a divide by zero error and went to a blue screen crash.

But I’ll trust your unbiased opinion of Devils players, NYRnine94.

I said Bratt is good and i see enough of the finesse stuff with my team. Don't be hurt that i would pick Power over Bratt. I think that would help the NYR out more right now if there was an option.
