Proposal: Value of Quinn Hughes

Fine but that shouldn't put down the player. Nemec is a blue chip asset not some run of the mill throw in.
I agree, he’s not a horrible asset in a trade like this, just not a great fit right now. But if the Canucks have another trade lined up involving Willander for a center, Nemec would make sense on the 2nd pairing behind Hronek.

Uness Quinn says he's signing before a trade in Seattle, or anywhere, teams aren't going to give Vancouver what they want. Seattle isn't taking that kind of risk. I think the only team wiling to trade a ton of assets for an all in rental move for a D- is like what Tampa? Or NYR?
It's pretty clear we are never going to agree on this whole situation. As a devils fan I'm willing to roll the dice and see what Quinn does in two years if our package around one of our blue chip d prospects and Mercer and picks isn't enough.

I respect the Canucks and their fans if they think that is light and want to look elsewhere.

Time will tell who will be right in this situation.

Luke’s extension should tell us everything we need to know about the Hughes bros intentions. If he signs a shorter term deal I would assume he and Jack are gone as soon as their deals are done. If he signs long term I would assume Quinn joins them in NJ and Jack extends after his original contract expires.

I mean you never really know until it happens but these are the scenarios that make the most sense to me.

Yikes!

Watch the trade include Rutherford and Allvin's bad contracts once again (Joshua and Chytil) that will reduce the return for Quinn but cover their mistakes.

Average first line centre at best for a norris d in his prime, no thanks.
Nico is well above average and if EP40 finds his form they might make the best 2 way center combo in the league but I doubt NJ moves on from Nico.

I also think Hughes stays in Vancouver.

The poster is the same guy who thought Lafreniere was a centre because of a caption under a photo with Lafreniere in the middle that read “Lafreniere, Center” and tried doubling down on it.
Ah yes the Pakled, and how could I forget, with your razor-sharp intellect you were unable to grasp that it was, in fact, a joke.

A masterclass in cognitive dissonance.

But alas, nuance isn’t your strong suit.

Return to predictability in 5, 4, 3, 2, 1…

I think Hughes thing has been blowen out of proportion, and Jersey being the only option premature speculation, but good debate anyways. Is well above average a top 10 centre?

Unlike Vancouver, the Devils have a young core that soon will be a contender for a championship.. And Quinn knows this..so..

THE DEVILS ARE NOT GIVING AWAY A CORE PIECE FOR ANOTHER TOP PLAYER THAT WANTS TO PLAY FOR THEM FOR FREEEEE.

hearing aids lack in Vancouver
Not a Vancouver fan ya duster. Players still have trade value when they are under contract FOR 2 YEARS. Especially ones as good as Quinn Hughes. If you're new to the sport that's ok ill let this slide.
