Huberdeau was probably more valuable as a rental. Who can go to their owner for an 84 million dollar commitment on a struggling player? It’s not like he’s done though. He’ll figure it out.

We all know that things aren’t working out for Huberdeau in Calgary. He is still only making 5.9 million dollars this year. Any team would be thrilled to pick him up at that price. What is his value?

You do know he signed an 8 year extension right?

Not a single team in the league would be "excited" to trade for him at this point

Didn’t he have a foot injury in early October? Between that and the normal adjustment period to joining a new system with new teammates it feels a little early to say “it’s not working out”

By that logic the Leafs need to trade Matthews and name Tavares their number one center.

Yeah. He has been out the last three games cause of an upper body injury but apparently is also walking around in a soft cast or something

Probably something like Matthew Tkachuk and a 1st.

Huberdeau will be fine. It's been 11 games and he had been playing with a nagging injury that now has him out of the line up. It's not panic button time.
