It’s nice having an ownership willing to spend into the luxury tax even on a non playoff team.

2025 NBA free agent rankings: The best players available this summer
The 2025 free agent class was hyped as potentially the strongest since 2019, thanks to a speculated salary cap surge from a new TV rights deal. However, the NBA and the players’ union capped salary…hoopshype.com
After Butler signed, Ingram was the top free agent (players without an option) and he choose the Raptors. It may not workout, but this is a move in the right direction. On average you are talking a top 30-40 scorer and a top 60-70 value guy, he is still only 27 and he cost you a late first and as mentioned, most importantly, picked you.
Cause you only need 5 guys, on most team 3 good playersNBA is such a strange league. Giving 40m a year for mid players.
I don’t know basketball positions well BUT would he put up Siakam numbers?
I have barely watched the raptors in my periphery the last 2,3 years, but I think the defending part is largely up to the coach and his systems, and I don’t think Darko is the answer there.BI is more of a natural scorer than Siakam. He can put up 20 in his sleep. But is BI gonna be healthy? Will he be consistent? Will he defend? Those are the questions you’ll be asking yourself nightly
Philly sucks
True, but I have to say that was a "must lose" game for the Raptors in this ethical tanking season. We may actually finish ahead of Philly if this keeps up.They truly are an abomination.

Personally I think RJ is gone in the off-season.It’s nice having an ownership willing to spend into the luxury tax even on a non playoff team.
