From his cross country camps to him sticking around the Toronto area, Danny Green really seems to enjoy it here. It's a nice refresher from guys who usually just bolt once they're no longer Raptors.

Toronto is a top city in the world during the summer months.

Nah not happening. Brooklyn and Philly are clearly better, as is Milwaukee. Boston most likely as well. Best they can finish is 5th. Would rather they just tank.

Brooklyn is not clearly better next year unless Durant somehow recovers from his injury a year ahead of schedule.

People need to really stop overrating Boston and Philly and now Brooklyn.

Brooklyn is not better. Durant won't be back likely next season. Irving alone is not enough.
If Simmonds doesn't learn to shoot, they are not better.
Milwaukee yes, Boston is also questionable.
We can finish top 3 in the East.

I like the optimism but you guys have to be realistic. Siakam is the only all star worthy player on this squad. Rest are role players or above average starters. Plus, it would benefit the team more by getting a high draft pick as opposed to going on a useless run that they'll get stomped in at some point.

We are being realistic. Siakam keeps improving every year, Lowry is still a damn good PG when healthy and Gasol is one of the best defending Centers in the game. OG hopefully has a breakout year and doesn't have to go through injuries or personal stuff like he did all of last season. Also, the guys we brought in are damn good defenders and we brought in a guy who can shoot the 3 ball pretty damn good. Overall this team is much deeper than the team we had last season and people seem to forget how good we were when Kawhi sat last season. Kawhi gone means the ball moves around more and more touches for Siakam to do his thing. People will probably look at our team on paper and think we'll suck because Leonard is gone but it's the complete opposite. Playoffs expose every teams weaknesses when they go up against good coaches. Milwaukee and Philadelphias got exposed by us locking the paint up and making them try and beat us with the 3 ball and they lost. You'd think they'd try and improve in those areas but they didn't. Philadelphia actually got worse imo because their biggest threat was Butler and they replace him with Horford pretty much.

Is it realistic to think that Brooklyn without Durant will be competitive? It isn't, they won't be.

Milwaukee and Philly are the two in the east that can make as much or more noise than the Raptors. Philly might not even be better than they were last year if Simmons still can't shoot. It's pretty wide open right now with Milwaukee being the top dog but the Raps are right there too.

I believe he's been in Toronto every summer since 2012 for his camps.

Do you think Kevin Durant would care if he is getting booed by Raptor fans?

fair comment...but the flip side is this...do you think we as fans should care if he tears his achilles? we shouldn't cheer? (I wasn't one who cheered I literally went "Oh Fck" when I saw him go down)
the idea we should respect them but they don't have to respect us is laughable...I hope he comes back full strength because damn I couldn't imagine messing up my Achilles...but even healthy I hope Brooklyn gets demolished in the East consistently as that was a low class shot to take

Didn't Reddick move on too?

So stop Embiid and Simmonds and it seems like Philly is quite controllable (obviously easier said than done but you know what I am saying lol
Your forgetting Harris, but I'm too concerned about him. If Simmonds can't shoot, then I also don't worry about him.
Embid is the only one.
