At this point regular season team stat comparisons are almost useless. Some head-to-head match-up and coverage data is interesting but overall it doesn't mean much considering we coasted through most of the year.

This series will come down to our 3pt%.

These 2 teams are about as evenly matched as you can get. The Philly series exposed a real concerning weakness for us behind the arc though that I thought we were past. I do think our defense will effect their shooting and I think we will continue to get open looks. Our guards will have the same difficulty getting to the basket as they did against Philly so they will really have to be ready and willing to shoot from outside when open.

Neither superstar will be slowed down significantly outside of the limited stretches they cover each other.

I think the emergence of our big lineup will be important even though it takes Siakam out of the game offensively. Still though if we shoot like we did against Philly we'll be lucky to see game 5. If we revert back to the mean then we can take this to 7 and flip a coin

Kawhi = Giannis
Siakam = Middleton
Lowry < Bledsoe
Gasol >= Lopez
Green < Brogdon
Ibaka > Mirotic
FVV < Hill

On paper, it's very close. I don't really care about regular seasons, but since we don't have anything to go off of I'll give the Small edge to the Bucks.

Milwaukee's bench might not be as much of a factor if we play only 7 guys, they could be forced to play their starters similar minutes, but the bucks bench is better, no doubt.

I think the biggest thing is that they are more in sync than us at this time. That team has had years to build around Giannis and they have their winning formula pretty down pat. We've injected 3 new starters this year and technically 4 with Siakam. Lowry is the only player in the starting lineup that started more then 5 games last year for this team. This is basically an entirely new team and it's not really talked about a lot. You can tell too because our offence flows differently with Kawhi in the lineup than without. They need to get more production from other guys on the court when Kawhi is on.

Milwaukee is the only team that hasn't faced real adversity yet. If we cary our momentum into game 1 and even win games 3 and 4 at home and go up 3-1, we could pull it out. If it goes 2-2 I wouldn't bet on the Bucks losing 2/3 with home court.

Since the Bucks are so dominant and they have the edge, I think this series will come down to how streaky our role players are early in the series and if we can take a commanding lead and shake their confidence.

How do you play Giannis? Do you double him or let him get his just as long as nobody else goes off? He is not known to be a good shooter.

In the words of the late Bobby The Brain Heenan, you waffle him outback with a tireiron.

Phoenix Suns swingman Josh Jackson, who earns more than $6,000,000 per year is facing a felony charge after being arrested at a Florida music festival.

Jackson was at the Rolling Loud music festival in Miami over the weekend, and according to a report from the Arizona Republic, he tried to sneak into the VIP section multiple times without the proper pass. After attempts to get Jackson to leave were unsuccessful, an officer placed him in handcuffs. Once the officer's attention was focused elsewhere, Jackson took off running, but was later found by other officers.

The officer then handcuffed Jackson and escorted him away from the crowd. Jackson sat on a nearby golf cart as instructed, but when Manzelli stepped away, Jackson stood up and began to walk away.

Manzelli "instructed" Jackson to sit back down on the golf cart, but the Suns forward turned and ran away.

The officer chased Jackson and lost sight of him "along the fence line" of the stadium. Backup officers found and "detained" Jackson, who Manzelli identified.

Jackson is now facing a misdemeanor charge of resisting arrest and a felony for escape. He posted bail and has a court date set for June 10.

The Suns released a statement saying that they were, "aware of the report and in the process of gathering more information."

If you have some time go look at the Skip Bayless takes on the shot. The huge Spurs fan in him comes out and he sounds like one of the saltiest guys on earth.

Can we just deny him entrance into the country? It's bad enough getting hot take garbage tweets from bitter Skip Bayless. It'd be nice if Windbag A Smith wasn't around too.

Though I would've preferred Jack over Leo, Matt Devlin is a very good pbp guy

Been a fan all the way back to the inaugural Vancouver Grizzlies. The only things worth watching on that team were him and Byron Scott.

Almost certainly still the Raptors. It's just been too long and I've invested too much time into them to switch. The grizzlies lasted like 6 years and truthfully, when the writing was on the wall about 2 years before they actually moved, i was already kind of checked out because there wasn't a point to following them anymore (also Vince)

It might end up as one of the very rare occasions where I'd find it acceptable to have 2 favorite teams.

I still miss them a lot and have a ton of fond and less fond memories (the awesome jerseys, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, how they seemed to bork up the draft every other year, the legacy of Steve Francis being a complete knob, Othella Harrington believing he needed to wear a ****ing parka to Vancouver in like August, how two of the other original choices for the team name were the Ravens and the Mountains (but the rcmp literally threatened to sue them if they used the latter) that the inaugural roster employed Dominique Wilkins.......'s far less talented brother (who sucked and was basically playing on 2 destroyed knees), a dude nicknamed "Blue" by his family because he once almost choked to death as a kid, the fact that awful GM Stu Jackson was foisted on the team by the league almost as a backroom condition of expansion, how said awful GM hamstrung the team by giving all the money to Big Tubby Reeves, how the Grizz and Raps were shafted in the expansion rules regarding the entry draft, how the awful GM and dumb expansion team draft restrictions conspired to mean that the Grizzlies ended up with Big Tubby Reeves instead of Kevin Garnett or Damon Stoudamire, the employment of terrible sideline reporter Norma Wick entireless because her family owned the tv station that games were on and how my mom had a seething hatred for how awful she was at her job, I could go on.)

Good times.

Fair enough. I loved the jerseys as well, and I loved mike bibby as a kid. Don't know why but bibby was the man!

Apparently if the Knicks get the first pick tonight, they may trade it for Anthony Davis.

That would be so Knicks.

I believe the Raps will come back home with a 2-o lead. They will lose the 1st one back in Toronto, win the second. Lose back in Buck town....to win it in game 6 at home.

That's my prediction.

I am also predicting that Portland stuns the Warriors in 7 games.

To setup a Portland-Toronto championship where Toronto once again wins this time in 5.

:laugh:

Report from a Sportsnet app alert: if the Knicks win the draft lottery, they'll use the pick to try and trade for Anthony Davis.

That's the most Knicks thing they could possibly do.
