uh, Disagree:

Duross conned the Devils into coming there to Utica, Ratitude, because why did it take two years before Calgary bought the franchise outright.... the Devils doublecrossed DuRoss just as DuRoss doublecrossed MHP, LLC.

Duross is as persona non grata in Portland as Petrovek was when he was unceremonially demoted from CEO in 2013-15.... which is why you saw Calgary do the same thing in the rumored move of the Heat to Colorado Springs that went nowhere.

it had nothing to do with Robb and his operation in Albany.

Utica was like Binghamton, Syracuse, and Rochester until Esche changed that....

LOL u get way too involved and over think things. Never said Ross had anything to do with Albany. If your going to post about albany you shouldn't leave out it's first owner Al Lawrence who started Capital District Sports. I am more then qualified to share my input, not that many outside really care to talk about franchise history lol. What does any of this have to do with the price of tea in China lol. DuRoss has been a key player many times like many others. There are not too many guys like that in each market.

it may be in a Vegas thread on their board I would suspect since it was them that bought it for roughly 10 M....

they're really isn't much out there as to what Black Knight actually paid SSE for the license.... all I can see is that between 2/6/20 was when Vegas acquired an AHL Franchise, but it wasn't known that it would've been the Rampage until the 28th WHEN the AHL Approved THAT SALE between SSE and BKSE.

MY POINT STANDS, Ratitude... it has zero to do with Al Lawrence as you initially claimed it was.....

where was New Jersey's affiliate prior to Utica..... nevermind the Capital District Islanders, who would've been what had the Devils not doublecrossed Utica in 1991.....

I hear ya man, it's a crazy business. The Devils have been crazy partners. I was never shocked at what they do next, and certainly not surprised they stuck it to Binghamton. The Devils always seem to play on the hearts of those markets that are in a desperate spot. That's not a jab at Utica if these rumors hold true but simply an acknowledgment that the AHL market is tight, especially with NHL teams wanting their players relatively nearby.

who cares about Don Waddell unless he's buying an AHL Franchise, axe..... and then elects to relocate out of Rosemont, Illinois permanently...... remember, if it can happen to Binghamton, it will happen to the Wolves and there's nothing anyone can do to change that MO once it's been announced, that's the one thing you keep constantly ignoring here

For someone who doesn't have a dog in the fight...or a team in the league you sure have a lot of crap to say. I don't IGNORE anything except you 98% of the time. Donald Levin OWNS an AHL FRANCHISE..called the Chicago Wolves PERIOD...he has emphatically stated multiple times...THE WOLVES ARE NOT FOR SALE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! SO as long as there is an AHL there will be the CHICAGO WOLVES and that is something that just EATS away at you and NO amount of your rambling semi-coherent musings will ever change that. As long as there is a league the Wolves will have an affiliate and before you go with the bullshit about norfolk...do you really think the AHL wants to take on a damn BILLIONAIRE? This isn't some clown from podunk virginia...the is a damn BILLIOBNAIRE who can bankrupt the league at a whim. Not too mention dipshit davey isn't in charge anymore and I doubt Howson is dumb enough to take on Levin...he doesn't have the EGO andrews has.

[MOD]. since WHEN did the AHL Offices move to the AllState Arena in Rosemont, IL....

Last I checked the AHL Website the league offices have never left Springfield, Massachusetts, and how many franchises have been there, oh wise one.

preceding Howson and Andrews was one Jack Butterfield.... but you seemed to be convinced the League favors the Wolves.....

it DOES NOT.... and the day will come when Levin is gone.... and cannot save your precious Chicago Wolves franchise from being relocated or bought out.... so no one here will whine about saving the Wolves franchise when it is inevitable it will happen..... book it the fanbases around hockey won't help you save pro hockey in Rosemont, IL

While the AHL is not a wholly owned subsidiary of the NHL, it is a wholly pwned subsidiary. Hope you get the distinction, as money is a Type A talker of magnanimous proportions.

Which Don Levin has, which NHL owners respect... until it crosses their money. So far it hasn’t. For the foreseeable future, it probably won’t. When Don Levin passes, that’ll be interesting.

not really since he has an adult son who loves hockey and played at Arizona State...plus there is co-owner Buddy Myers...a lawyer who handles athletes.

Hope you understand the middle ground I staked out here.

Nobody in hockey tells the NHL what to do. The thing to worry about is if the NHL wants to be as inflexible as MLB has become with its minor leagues. This long predates the reorganization that just took place. So far, NHL owners seem to enjoy a bit of flexibility. I don’t see any emerging reasons that this will change imminently. If they DO change their mind, nothing in the AHL will really stop them.

I get it...but Levin enjoys a very good relationship with the NHL far beyond the scope of the AHL. Kinda why he was originally on the short list for 2 different franchise purchases in recent years including the now Seattle team. Yes he and other investors backed out before the league finally awarded the franchise but that was due to the timeline and uncertainty of it ever happening years ago. Point is...he has a good relationship with Bettman and others and still id the NHL or AHL tried to force his hand...I doubt either of them would want to go to court and spend millions and billions to try and force him to sell a team or franchise. Not going to happen....and i guarantee the AHL/NHL knows this and isn't willing to get into an expensive and long litigation with him over it...especially now when the league owners are hemoraging money due to covid.

Can anyone help me out here? I know it exists because I read it, but my Google skills have abandoned me on that link.
like I said it may be on the Vegas or the Business forum.... but logistically here when Vegas acquired it the link might be outdated by now....

Henderson Silver Knights goes back to February 28th, 2020 when the team officially bought by Vegas from SSE, but no real pricetag was revealed publically or is it posted there on their team site once the league approved the application once it swapped from an expansion bid to a relocation bid....

I'm also not sure how active the San Antonio Rampage webpage is today, if that site exists in name only....

You have now replied to this question twice without supplying the information I asked for. A link. That's it. If you don't have one you should have the common sense not to reply.

I don't have a link but if i remember right ....Vegas paid either 10 on the head or just north of 10

@210:

the Rampage website no longer exists as it redirects to SSE'S AT & T Center, and the same redirect that had been on the https://www.sarampage.com WEBSITE no longer exists.... the Facebook and twitter page links stop basically around May 18, 2020 or roughly ten days after the league suspended the season.... BKSE officially applied on the 6th of February to apply for the application to the AHL BOG, which the League approved on the 28th of February of 2020 which is also the day or shortly after Henderson Silver Knights was introduced through the Vegas media and that's why their site (News - Henderson Silver Knights) Begins on that announcement of the creation of the HSK franchise henceforth.

it's very similar to what Portland's social media was like the day the Facebook and Twitter pages here abruptly were shut down once the staff was informed that Portland was being sold to Springfield to become the Thunderbirds.

It was a blog/news article, not anything else. It has nothing to do with any entity's social media nor any team website.

This is my recollection too, but I'm really needing a solid source for that.
I don't really believe what exactly you are asking then.... because it's been answered two different ways to the same question...

if it's what BKSE Paid SSE..... that's on the HSK Thread in the Vegas forum or in the Business forum, other than that.... it's either the Review Journal in Vegas or the SA Express News in SA.....

That's what I figured when you reported a failed web search. But I've also been skunked in sinbin.vegas and Las Vegas media site searches from the week of the franchise sale announcement. :dunno:

yup, hence when I searched multiple ways.... to see what would it come up with..... I know it was reported in the Vegas forum and related in on the Business forums here... then I checked San Antonio since that's where the franchise came from, hence the FB/Twitter FEED to even see if the Rampage webpage had been allowed to expire once SSE sold it.... and when I clicked on that link in Google it redirected to SSE'S Arena page aka AT& T Center....
