Utah's defense gets even better, and now they have reliable shooting from the PG position. Great move, didn't give up a whole lot either.

Conley is going to be awesome with the Jazz. Nice top three with Mitchell and Gobert.

Not all that bad for the Grizzlies either since they get the two picks. They likely won't be very good picks but they weren't going to get that with Conley's age, contract, and the number of other PGs available in the draft and free agency. Crowder is meh, Korver probably gets bought out and joins LeBron again, and Allen was a bad pick and kinda sucks. Grizzlies also make room for Morant to start right away and form a potentially exciting 1-2 punch with JJJ.

Memphis needed to clear room for Ja anyhow.

Conley is good when healthy. But that's the problem.

That's a great trade for Utah. Conley is a top-10 PG and is a massive upgrade over Rubio. Anyone who's watched the playoffs saw how much space opposing teams gave Rubio and how awful of a shooter he was. Teams won't be able to do that with Conley, which should give more space to Mitchell to operate with the ball. Also, Conley and Gobert will be a formidable pick-and-roll duo.

They're easily a top-4 team in the West, and depending on how the rest of the off-season goes, they might end up being the best team in the West.

Looks pretty clear that they are all-in on tanking. They keep their 2020 pick if it's top 6 and that seems like a reasonable target.

7th or later, the Celtics get it. Unprotected in 2021.

How did the Celtics get that pick?

It was part of a 3 team deal with Memphis and New Orleans.

- Boston sent Jeff Green to Memphis

- Memphis sent SF Tayshaun Prince and a future 1st round pick to Boston ( the pick was top 10 protected in 2017, top 12 protected in 2018, top 8 protected in 2019, top 6 protected in 2020 and then unprotected in 2021 ).
- Memphis sent SF/SG Quincy Pondexter and a 2015 2nd round pick to New Orleans. That pick was 56th overall and used to pick PF Branden Dawson.

- New Orleans sent PG Austin Rivers to Boston.
- New Orleans traded PG Russ Smith to Memphis.

Good pickup for the Jazz. Given the situation with Durant I think the West is very wide open next year. A move like this will really help the Jazz.

No one's mentioning Denver or Utah in the West Rankings it's all LAL, LAC, HOU and GSW....those could two of the top teams.
