Joseph and Belfour from Ontario.

The dub never seemed to produce the high-end goalies until more recently, starting with Price. Before him there was Fuhr, but I can't recall anything in-between.

Rebuild is about more than drafting. It's about surrounding the young players with good veterans.

Yeah but it had nothing to do with the "skills" the rebuild is supposed to yield. Because most of the direct products of the rebuild aren't on the team yet.

I tend to believe this too, but I doubt it happens during the season. In the mean time it would still be wise for Hughes to impose a solid veteran coach alongside MSL. Who gives a f*** that he doesn't want one.

MSL will leave on his own and join some other organization, he won't stay here and continue looking this bad. The guy was a winner on the ice but as we have seen in the past, it doesn't always mean that it will translate to being successful behind the bench.

Ideally he should have been an assistant for a few years before being given the reins.

That factory has stopped producing it seems.

They also need solid veterans to surround these kids with. This veteran core is weak

Next offseason I'm sure some of these things will be addressed.

They should have signed Monahan, he's exactly what we need. Solid center with experience, perfect for the 3rd line but could be 2nd C. Big mistake letting him go, we have the money. Even if they thought Dach would be good, he's a big upgrade over Dvorak.
