I think going big game hunting on the UFA market is a bad idea.

That's where critical mistakes are made.

I agree with Lanky...I think all the team needs is another C to go with Cooley & Hayton & McBain and another goalie that can put up consistent .910 seasons.

We've got good wingers in Keller/Schmaltz/Guenther/But/Iginla

Let the kids continue to mature...team is going to be really, really good in 2 years.

You don't trade a 7.8 million cap hit for the next season with the intention of sitting on your hands. I think there are players out there either through trade or free agency that BA and staff are strongly considering.

I agree. BA finally said that he expects the team to make the playoffs next year. I think any upgrade of D will come within. We need goals, and a 1st line C. My opinion of course.

I think it's more likely that we find a fit via trade. Not easy though. They don't get traded often.

Also, I don't think we need a top six C to be a contender. It's just our most obvious weakness - beyond our inexperience.

I think for sure Utah needs a 1C to be a SC contender. Maybe not a high 1C, but a 1C.
