Proposal: Utah- Buffalo

Buffalo gets a veteran forward to add to a young group as well as a similarly aged defenseman who balances out their RD/LD pairings a bit.

Utah gets a younger forward who is under team control and a signed defenseman who adds some physicality to the back end

Kesselring has been a surprisingly good addition, not sure I'm open to moving him without a fairly significant upgrade coming in. I don't think that Samuelsson is that upgrade (could be wrong), plus we have LD prospects working their way up our system in spades.

Krebs is fine but doesn't really fill any needs. We need another top 6c primarily, he's not that.

Zero interest in moving Krebs. He's been excellent in a bottom 6 role here. Buffalo could absolutely use a righty d-man, but that would likely be preceded by moving out Jokiharju

I'm not sure. Rasmus would be awesome to have, but he may be out of our current price range. If our season were going better, I'd do Kesselring, 1st, and one of our prospects not named Lamoureux, Simashev, But, Doan, Iginla, or Beaudoin. Maybe Skahan? Recent 2nd with size. Our 1st looks like it could fall into Ryabkin territory so I'm reluctant to move it right now.

That’s kind of when I would think a deal would happen, I wasn’t specific but that would be my assumption . That’s usually the case in the nhl, not many moves until the deadline.

I was thinking Crouse and our first this year unless top 3 protected (Automatically get Utah 1st next year if in top 3 no protection for Power. Crouse can be an incredible player just really needs a change of scenery. Don't know if it's the coach but he hasn't played to his level.
