I don't think you have enough. You'd be foolish to offer Parekh.

Does Utah take Coronato and the 2 #1's? I don't think 18 and 31 moves the needle enough.

Calgary has no interested in moving Parekh or Coronato. I don’t think there’s anything to make a deal like this happen

I really can't see this happening just based on what Calgary has and what Utah likely wants.
Not many teams are willing to trade a franchise defining draft pick for some extra depth.

Its almost impossible to move into the top 10** by trading roster players unless you have a:
Cory Schneider - got the 9th 2013
Jordan Staal - got the 8th 2012
Jeff Carter - got the 8th 2011
Yashin - got the 2nd 2001
Linden - got the 10th in 1999

The flames dont have anyone with that kind of name on their roster. I dont think spare parts would do it either. Best offer without involving Parekh, Coronato, Zary and Wolf would be something like

Andersson on a sign and trade 8x8 packaged with 18th and 31OA

(**after the season ends and everyone knows where they will be drafting, not acquiring the pick months/years before**)

It would take Morgan Frost... in an alternate reality where Frost is the same physically, the same age or younger, the same contract status or better (signed at a non-huge cap hit multi years) but a better offensively and defensively and a really solid 2C.

If only Kadri was a bit younger

Flames don't have the pieces, well we probably do ie. Parekh, Coronato, multiple 1sts, but it's just a lateral move to trade all the pieces necessary to get the 4th to make it worth it.

I'd trade them our '26 lottery tickets for the pick though, there is no way the Flames would ever win a lottery anyway even if we and Vegas finished last and second last, we'd lose both and draft #3 and #4.

Well he was defective. Had to have surgery to put in bionic parts. The issue was his hip, so I don't see why they would want an arm or leg... anyways you already traded his DaD.

I don't think we'd mind taking him for a discount if he's "defective" as you say. Forget 4OA, what's the ask on Tij?

Andersson + Coleman for 4th overall would actually be in the best interest of both teams IMO. I don't know if either would be motivated enough to do it though. Or that Utah wouldn't be on either player's NTC list. Suspect their new owner wants to make the playoffs sooner rather than later with his new investment and Armstrong did a nice job stocking the cupboards with tons of picks and prospects when the Coyotes were on their way out. A move for a couple solid veterans could be enough to move the needle for the Mammoth and the Flames open up a couple roster spots for their young players.

After Schaefer and Misa I don't think there's much in this draft to get over excited about. If someone with 9-14 is keen to take 18 and the Florida pick and our scouts like a particular C they think would be worth it then sure move up. If not then make both picks and carry on. No need to try and rush things when you don't have to.
