I’d posted this a while ago but I’m assuming this ruling did indeed cover USports
4 years at Queens. 1 year left.Interesting. Yeah, he turns 26 in February so I'm assuming one and done.
Hasn’t been many official announcements yet about USports players transferring. The optimist in me hopes maybe it’s not going to be that bad…but I’m guessing it’s just too early in the offseason yet.
Having said that, seeing Kale McCallum, arguably the best defenseman in the country, going to a school like Providence…and the Alberta guys rumoured to be going to Nebraska-Omaha….makes me think the big-time NCAA programs might not looking to U Sports.
Yes to all of the above lol.Just curious having never seen McCallum or UNB play, were the big numbers put up by Keating somewhat attributable to playing with Kale or some of the other players in that lineup?
Similarly, how much of Kale's success was due to the depth of the Reds? And what can be expected of him playing in Hockey East?
We'll have to wait for the fall and see what these guys do.Yes to all of the above lol.
He was an elite offensive d-man in the AUS and QMJHL who got to play on the greatest USports team ever . Good players benefit from playing with other good players .
I don’t think he is the best d-man I’ve seen at UNB but he’s definitely top 10. You could make an argument that Adam McCormick and Kade Landry were better during the time all 3 were at UNB but each of them would have been the number one guy on any other team.
No one really knows how this will translate in the NCAA because we haven’t seen this before.
McCallum's expertise on the power play had some positive impact on Keating's points, but Keating was Keating. Kale was not UNB's best d-man 2 years ago; I would also argue that McCormick and Landry were better. But it was a super-stacked team and McCallum earned a ton of points on UNB's lethal powerplay, and voters apparently are influenced by points more than two-way play.Just curious having never seen McCallum or UNB play, were the big numbers put up by Keating somewhat attributable to playing with Kale or some of the other players in that lineup?

McCallum I believe will do well on the power play in Hockey East. He has an NHL-quality shot. Offensively he might even thrive. Defensively, he's not an elite d-man.
So, all the mentions of him with UNB recruits means nothing. It’s official
I don’t believe he was referenced , just Reynolds and Huckins. So, all the mentions of him with UNB recruits means nothing.
Right. Reynolds, not Plandowski. All those UNB guys look alike.I don’t believe he was referenced , just Reynolds and Huckins.
