If my wife was genuinely stressed and losing sleep over it, we would... But at this point we're just kind of laughing it off.

We do well financially so it's not really an issue in that regards, it's more so just puzzling how inconsiderate and appreciative someone we've known for so long can be. In general he's always had poor self and situational awareness, but it's reaching a whole new level.

Just need to remember next time to let him know with enough time he's not welcome to stay here. We've had a standing relationship with him for probably 5 years now that he's welcome to stay at our house anytime he would like. It wasn't until last January and now again this trip that it's really been an issue.
