NHL star Shea Weber seemed surprised when asked by Global Okanagan for his reaction to being traded to the Montreal Canadiens. He says it’s the first time someone has asked him about it.
The former Nashville Predator and Kelowna Rocket was traded earlier this week for star Montreal defenceman P.K. Subban.
Webber has been laying low since the trade, but Global Okanagan caught up with him Friday in Sicamous — Weber’s hometown.
Weber, 30, played in 78 of the Nashville Predators’ 82 games in the 2015-16 season.
He scored 20 goals and had 31 assists.
The former Nashville Predator captain (2010 to 2016) has played a total of 763 regular NHL season games.
