Books always trump the movie adaptation. I still love them though.

I own all of the books and will re-read at some point.

What I liked more about the books was that the timeline was obviously less rushed. In the movies they arrive at school, some stuff happens, then all of a sudden it's the end of the year.

I also like how the books are more in-depth about when they go to classes and the quidditch games and stuff

Part of it is nostalgia as well. Movies came out between like 2001 and 2011 or something?

Basically from age 8 through 18 or something like that.

I just went through my old room collecting all my books and I forgot just how many books I owned lol. Even have some physical webcomic stuff like the oatmeal and cyanide and happiness books.

How did the Weasely twins not notice their brother sleeps with a dude named Peter Pettigrew when looking at the Marauder's Map?

Maybe they thought he was one of Ron's roommates but I doubt it since there's not really that many kids in the school and they would know pretty much everyone especially in their own house

Also maybe they never bothered looking at Ron because they probably found him uninteresting and were too busy looking where the teachers and Filch were so they could do whatever troublemaking they were up to

It's probably just one of many plotholes

What was the point in forcing Harry to enter the Tri-Wizard Tournament? Why not just make something else into a port key. Why bother going through that whole mess?

Why didn't Harry Potter just drink polyjuice potion to look like any other muggle and then be driven out of the Dursley's house? Instead of all of his friend's risking their lives to look like Harry Potter?

Ok, so Voldemort killed Harry's parents because of the whole prophecy thing right? What I don't remember is when he actually found out the prophecy.

Snape was eavesdropping on Dumbledore and professor Trelawney then told Voldemort

I don't think they actually explain that bit in the film

Basically Snape blabbed to Voldemort then found out it was Lily Potter's son he would be going after and went blabbing to Dumbledore to try and stop him

Wait, so Snape was originally a bad guy? What movie was this in?

It's in the last one near the end when Harry takes Snape's memories. It happens before Voldemort kills Harry's parents.

Yes Snape was originally actually a bad guy, but he turns when Voldemort goes after Lily Potter, because he loves her, and goes to Dumbledore for help to try and stop Voldemort killing her
