I can tell that the intonations are different and some of the words/phrases are different. But I'm used to a lot of different regional dialects in North America... to me, it's not a big deal and I like the uniqueness of it.

Pretty much the further north you go the more disregard for correct use of the English language there is

Newcastle is almost as north as you can go before you hit Scotland
