Yes. It is very in depth now, much moreso than before. You can properly do R&D to make the car better, you sit in the team's suite in-between races and have a sexy agent, an R&D man who comes to talk to you, and a laptop with all the information on it. Then for all the sessions and races the commentators do a little intro. Then there's other little things like getting to choose your driver number. There's actually a point to the practice sessions now as well, there are practice simulations that you can do to earn R&D points.
