But yes Mike, my multi-region blu-ray/DVD player is a blu-ray/DVD player that has been professionally modded (with a chip I think) to play any DVD or blu-ray regardless of whatever region the disk is from.

I.E. I can play Region B blu-rays from Germany/the U.K. for instance

Personally the best thing about having a multi-region blu-ray and DVD player is that you don't have to settle for crap quality. As there are so many horror films on blu-ray that are released here in Canada/the US that either sound or look like **** compared to other much better looking or sounding versions of the same film that have been released by companies from the UK or Germany or whatnot.

I have no idea what a "multi region" blu ray player is/means

I'll try n simplify it for ya bud...

Any blu-ray players that you buy at Walmart, Best Buy, etc. here in Canada or the States can only play Region 1 DVD's or Region A blu-rays as that's how our discs are regionally encoded or locked. So if you tried to play a Region 2 DVD or a Region B blu-ray (from England) in a store bought North American player...the disk wouldn't play as it would be "locked" regionally and only playable on a blu-ray player from wherever non North American country that disk was from.

However, my multi-region blu-ray/DVD player is a blu-ray/DVD player that has been professionally hacked/modded (with a chip I think) to play any DVD or blu-ray regardless of whatever region the disk is from.

I.E. I can play Region B blu-rays from Germany/the U.K. for instance despite being here in Canada.

I like how Belfast City Airport is named after George Best, an deceased alcoholic soccerballer

All the great airports of the world are named after great politicians: New York JFK, Paris Charles De Gaulle, Heathrow after Ted Heath... Oh wait
