1) Yes, until someone starts working on a statistic that takes shooters' abilities into account.
2) In large numbers (like the purpose of advanced predictive stats), these discrepencies or whatever it's spelled are basically negligible (Kruger shoots very little compared to Kane, say). And as you know, a simple puck directed to the net can be as dangerous as a deadly wrister.
