Love it when you're watching a series and the writers think high school kids still actually use text speak like U, R and 4 when they're messaging on modern smart phones

Now maybe I'm wrong and just out of touch with actual high schoolers, but I always thought people only texted like that back in the day because phones didn't have keyboards and you had to press the 1 button three times in succession to get a C for example, so using text speak saved an enormous amount of time

The only exception is I will occasionally throw in acronyms that have become common to say out loud in real life like wtf, btw and omg
