Vaccinate

Head off instantly to Amsterdam

But not to f*** :yo:

Seriously I don't know the appeal of the REDACTED district

Everyone in Amsterdam says that place is the bomb but it isn't. I saw one of those in Hamburg, Germany. It sucked. It's just a big street with REDACTED. Who cares. I didn't come here to f***. I came to tour.

@LarryFisherman have you ever smoked weed or f***ed in Amsterdam

drink some Heineken f*** :yo:

lol, yes.

there's a little shop called the tweede kamer that sells hash called moonshine 27, which was really nice back in the day. Now though, legal weed in america is a million times stronger than theirs over there. They have THC capped at like 30% so it's not very good anymore.

and yeah, i've f***ed over there. only my girlfriend and wife though. i'm not a hooker guy if that's where you're going. never had to nor would i pay for sex.

I don't think they're proud of it at all. They like the $$, but it's an embarrassment to most citizens I think. The RLD is a pretty gross place and nothing really very good happens there.

I much prefer outside areas like Haarlem or De Pijp than central Amsterdam. The entire centrum is not for me.

Amsterdam, which is under lockdown until Feb. 9 because of the pandemic, advises travelers not to visit the Netherlands “unless it is strictly necessary.” Americans remain banned from entering the European Union because of the pandemic.

It's been like this for over a year.

I applied for some jobs over there and saw a few responses that Americans were currently out of the running pool defacto.

We just call it Name High here

"Rudge Park Comprehensive" lol

Because there are different types of schools at high school age, so you have to stipulate "comprehensive" which means it's free and for everyone.

A grammar school is free but you need to pass an entry exam to get in.

A "public school" like Eton or Harrow is fee-paying

Then there are "faith" schools for Catholics or whatever.

And also "Academy" schools which are funded by the central government, rather than the local authority.

There are also independent schools which don't have to necessarily be fee-paying, they could be run by a wealthy sponsor or as a charity but aren't under the control of the government

Of course all this culminates in all the Karens and soccer moms being incredibly selective as to which school they send their children to and pollute the planet doing the "school run" in their enormous Range Rovers because school buses aren't a thing, when they should be sending little Johnny to the closest school which they should be able to walk or cycle to like I did for my entire life

It's genuinely a horrific system.

When I lived with my parents in their old house it was next to a British equivalent of an elementary school and some days if I was going out or coming home in my car I would literally be unable to get in or out of our cul-de-sac because all the soccer moms would be parked on the corner in their enormous Range Rovers blocking the road

There were at least another 5 or 6 schools in the area that I would consider to be within reasonable walking distance, so God only knows how far away these Karens were sending their kids to school

there's no school buses at all?

even in HS they have school busses here

Generally no. Around here there are a couple of schools that do a bus but it's only for the schools that are slightly out of town and you'd have to go to a designated stop to catch it, it doesn't just stop outside your house like on The Simpsons, and I expect you have to pay an annual fee. But for any of the schools actually inside Swindon itself you'd have to use one of the normal public buses if it's too far to walk.

I've always gone to schools I could walk to
