if we can get a new majority leader who actually passes bills and gives the people what they DESERVE i would be all for it

You realize the problem isn't Mitch McConnell, but the entire Republican party, right? McConnell has been chosen by his 50 fellow Republican senators to be the Majority Leader. Clearly they want him to do this, otherwise they would have at least tried to replace him by now.

Hawley is joined by Sens. Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., Kelly Loeffler, R-Ga., David Perdue, R-Ga., and Marco Rubio, R-Fla., in openly supporting the additional relief.

Those 4 other names should make it more than obvious that it was nothing but political pandering

At this point, clones, who would be opposed to FREE 2000 in they pocket? Come on. This is a no brainer. Pass the deal.

Sure, clowns like Ron Johnson are going to oppose based on ideology but you have to understand a lot of Republican senators also want the 2000. So who is Mitch speaking for?

Also your reminder the Congress gave out 6 trillion to corporations yet "can't afford" to give the working class 2000. NOT PER MONTH. NOT PER MONTH. ONE TIME PAYMENT.

You gave 6 trillion to corporations to bail them out in 2020 dumbass

This is an issue of Republicans refusing to be the welfare state. Republicans are fiercely opposed to giving out handouts. Even during a pandemic with rampant unemployment.

Between the Tax Cuts and Jobs Act of 2017 and the PPP, clearly the Republicans have a class of people they prefer to give handouts to

And again I can live without the 2000. It's not about me.

It's about the Zaide's of America poor as f*** trying to make ends meet who can't pay the bills.

Is a one time 1200 check enough?

Is 600 dollars enough?
