Originally, Team Rocket simply called Ash the boy and Misty a girl. Ash is usually the twerp, (Japanese: じゃりボーイ jari-boy) according to Jessie, James and Meowth. Collectively, Ash and his friends are the twerps (Japanese: じゃりん子 jarinko). The term can be extended to virtually anyone who associates with Ash and isn't on Team Rocket's side. They rarely refer to the twerps by their actual names.

I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for those meddling kids

Weird because when you were of the age to watch that show the kids were more like adults.

Oh absolutely

Back in those days the high schoolers on the telly were all in their 30s, they extended this to animated shows too

When I was a kid my mum used to play all the RPG games I had on the playstation and the wii (Ratchet & Clank, Jak & Daxter, and all the lego games for the wii) and she was pretty good at them but by far the most difficult game we ever had was a Scooby Doo one for the playstation even though it was supposed to be for kids
