I’m still in Alaska after an incredible Game last night in Anchorage. The crowd and enthusiasm were incredible. Didn’t want to just fly in and fly out of a State. It’s called respect for a great place. I’ll be leaving in two hours, and will miss Alaska, but the people know that no Body has ever done so much for Alaska as I have - and that was great for the U.S. also!

I just started here on July 1st and we're moving lightning fast right now. Time will tell if my family can handle this pace; if I were single and childless I could do it easily but I am neither.

It's the typical wildly-temperamental Pittsburgh sports mindset that bothers me. It's either "This is definitely our year" or "We suck, don't even bother watching".

The Pens are going to make the playoffs for nearly 20 straight years, and a portion of the fanbase is going to stop supporting them once they're on hard times? Sounds less like they're Penguins fans, and more like they're just fans of winning.

I generally agree, but my sports fandom has changed significantly since I was a kid so I can't talk shit. I watched every game I could up until like 2015 or so, even though my NFL and NCAA teams were out of state and my NHL team was out of country. I still did everything I could. Then I had an epiphany one day: why do I do this to myself if it's not fun? I still watch both the NFL and sometimes NCAA football when I can, but even if I wanted to watch hockey now (I don't) I couldn't. I don't have the time to spare, and the little free time I do have I would never choose to invest on whatever lame ass shit the NHL decides to do nowadays.
