Now, what did I actually show up here to bitch about...

We can collectively critique Ted Lasso, even though a lot of it is very silly and I struggle to suspend my disbelief a lot of the time, I have to reluctantly admit it does have some laugh out loud moments

Even though the whole "Wanker" thing in Ted Lasso is a very low-hanging fruit joke, I can't help loving and relating to it it because I first learned that word when my dad took me to an Aston Villa match for my birthday when they were playing against Middlesbrough and it was current England manager Gareth Southgate's first return to Villa Park as an opposition player, and all the fans were chanting "Gareth Southgate what a wanker!"

It's the same guy that wrote Scrubs, so he knows what he's doing. And Jason Sudekis has that natural funniness about him.

I initially went in expecting a racous comedy, so I was disappointed, but the more I watched, it showed that it's a solid show.

I was also kinda disappointed with season 2, but maybe I just need to power forward instead of giving up on it.

Jason Sudeikis's character does perfectly encapsulate how obnoxiously and inappropriately friendly some Americans can be, and I find many parts of that very funny but one of my main issues is they had to make the Keeley character really really unintelligent to get any payoff from it in that specific sub-plot because of how innocent and naive both of them are
