I can see Stone Cold showing up on Raw for cheap pops, but it's the Raw after Mania, so I would like to assume they would rather debut some new talent and storylines than trotting out the part-timers

I was a wrasslin’ fan till about ‘99-early 2000

I’ve seen clips of and hate the whole SCSA “What??” chant bullshit though. Man. To go from being a legit badass (circa ‘96-99) to just screaming an annoying word after every sentence you say…or to cut someone off?? Lamesauce.

Steve Austin's heel turn at Mania 17 is largely regarded as a monumental mistake and the beginning of the wrestling downturn the industry experienced for nearly 20 years.

He's capable of doing comedy well, but that doesn't mean that's what the people want to see.

Also, it makes entirely no sense for Stone Cold to turn heel and befriend Vince when they were mortal enemies a few years prior.

Imagine if the Mania 17 match goes the exact same way, except as they're celebrating afterwards, Stone Cold swerves Vince and beats seven shades of shit out of him. Boom, you have a reason to revitalize the Austin and Vince feud that previously took the company to new heights.

They f***ed up the Invasion so bad that it's up there with Game of Thrones season 8 in terms of "Almost any storyline you can think up would be better than what they actually did".

Then they did the Invasion storyline again like 10 years later with The Nexus..... AND THEY f***ED THAT UP TOO.

(Allegedly Cena didn't want to lose, so he shoulders some of the blame)

Exactly.

Like one of his old shirts back in the day said…he’s there to “Arrive. Raise Hell. Leave.”

Fact is, the people wanna see him be the Texas Rattlesnake. They want the beer fueled hellraiser. The B.M.F. The boss-hating, bird flippin’, ass kickin’, beer chugging, Don’t Trust Anybody Austin.

Nobody wants or wanted him to see him out there week after week flappin’ his gums, yellin’ the same word over n over like the Jibberin’ Jackass.
