It's so American for them to list all the club fixtures by their nicknames and not the city names (Except Bath because they don't have one)

You'd be surprised how common it is outside of the mainstream sports like soccer, rugby and cricket. i.e. our traditional sports which aren't imported from North America.

There are still a few hockey teams over here using that type of branding.

They use those names just to copy NA

Exeter Chiefs have only very recently changed their branding for it to represent local ancient Celtic tribes instead of a Native American

With them it was more than just the logo, there were fans who used to dress up at games with native American headdresses and do chanting

In hockey a team based in London called the Streatham Redskins decided to change their branding and ditch the name.

But there are still teams called the Warriors and Chieftains, I suppose that's less problematic because there's no reference to skin colour.
