Tried watching Stand By Me this morning after I came home from work.

I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I was bored as shit and fell asleep.

It made me think of Forrest Gump in that I didn't grow up in that time period so all of the cheap nostalgia pops did absolutely nothing for me. However, Stand By Me has an actual storyline and isn't just a conveyor belt of "remember this" moments

Unpopular opinion: Forrest Gump is incredibly overrated.

It's basically Ready Player One but for boomers. If we just overwhelm you with nostalgia, that makes it a better movie, right?

Home of The Cup
SUNRISE, Fla. (AP) — Sam Bennett scored two goals to lift the Florida Panthers over the Vegas Golden Knights 4-1 on Thursday night.

Aleksander Barkov scored his 200th NHL goal and 500th NHL point, and had an assist, and Mason Marchment had an empty-net goal. Spencer Knight made 24 saves for the Panthers, who improved to 22-3-0 at home.

“Those are the milestones you’re going to think about after the season, after the career,” Barkov said. “I’m happy to get it out of the way. We (held) our game together and played a really tight game. If we gave them anything, (Knight) was there.”

Not too mention putting on fresh clean clothes after a shower before heading out to a football bar. But hey, could be just me.
Do they even have bars in your "rural" suburb of Sauga? Heck, do they even have running water...

DENVER (AP) — Gabriel Landeskog tied the game with 36.5 seconds left in regulation and Cale Makar scored a power-play goal 3:01 into overtime as the Colorado Avalanche rallied past the Boston Bruins 4-3 on Wednesday night for their 17th straight home victory.

Dirty Hall. Suspend!

"The opener of Boston’s three-game trip started with a big hit and plenty of blood. Taylor Hall’s open-ice shoulder shot on MacKinnon caused MacKinnon’s own stick to snap back into his face. Blood gushed from his nose to the ice as MacKinnon lay face down. "
