I feel it may be more intellectual stimulating than Goodfellas (1990)

Goodfellas is so much better than Good Will Hunting. It’s like the same size gap as between regular people and HF mods.

it is a poignant tale of emotion

goodfellas on the other hand is a comedy about a lifelong mobster who grassed on his buddies for immunity
