these games regualry get 1k viewers

I think you're grossly underestimating the difficulty of becoming a top 1% streamer. Even a top 10% streamer is almost totally unlikely.

if you stream genshin impact, you will gain ~1000 new followers rather easily apparently, because there's a streaming event that gives rewards based on the number of new followers, and the community has rallied to follow everyone streaming in that category
