Hope so, but likely not doing much inter provincial travel this winter, again. I like driving, once I'm outside the congestion of Toronto and to see and go through small towns was refreshing.

Best roadie, Ste Sault Marie, over 7 hrs, 750 kms. Snow storm through the rock cliffs in early Jan. Filled the tank with gas and made it nonstop, went through a bundle of snickers bars, I went through a stretch north of Sudbury where I didn't see another car on a this major highway for over a hour.

The border is actually across the a bridge at the Sault. Ste Sault Marie is closer to the USA then I am here. Different states, but point made.

Kitchener is home to the largest Oktoberfest celebration outside of Germany.

Honestly it sucks. It’s sponsored by Molson. There are very few (if any) true German beers available when you go.

Even our liquor stores (the LCBO) tend to think Oktoberfest here isn’t a big thing as very few German beers (if any) are released around then too. Then again here in Ontario, we don’t get a lot of German beers stocked here (I.E. “hefeweizens” or wheat beers) in general to begin with.
