I just want to watch Patrick H Willems' video essays about movies, but he keeps forcing this weird overarching storyline that breaks up the video and takes up a noticeable amount of time.

I tried watching a few, but they're just not funny, while being massively distracting from the quite good video essays.

Weirdly, I don't mind when Red Letter Media does it, but they typically keep to only the beginning of the video, and their format is far more casual and relaxed than a video essay.
