My ex-gf (Ashkenazi) learned some in college but her family didn't ever use Hebrew at home (some Yiddish during holy periods?) so she found it tricky but fun.

I have a friend ancestrally from Macau that is completely fluent in Cantonese but she can't read it at all.

yes I can read it I've said this before I recognize basic Chinese characters in Japanese when I watch NPB because Japan "stole" ERRRRR "borrowed" much of their script writing from Chinese

literally 1 2 3 4 5 6 7 8 9 are ALL chinese characters in Japan lol
