Watched “The Mummy Returns” in full yesterday for the first time… with the Mrs.

We both couldn’t believe how much it sucked compared to “The Mummy” from ‘99

Such a lazy sequel and an annoying kid to top it off

The only great moment is Imhotep's reaction to Rick killing the Scorpion King. Literally runs in from off-screen to give a theatrical scream.

Do they explain how Rick gets out of the predicament he's in?

Doesn't even make much sense that you could stab someone with a spear then be able to hang from that spear. A conical shape, like a spear, isn't staying put against any amount of pulling force.

Other than just to have more CGI, why have him dangle over a lava pit? Just take the pit out and he would still be pinned to the ground under the scorpion king, who looks so lifelike and realistic.

Exactly!!!

Amongst other major WTF blunders throughout, I couldn’t help eyerolling every time they kept opening The Book Of The Dead without using or even needing the f***ing key.

Umm…you made a big deal about keys being needed to open the sacred books in the first film and now you can just flip through em’ like the Yellow Pages???

Bruh. :shakehead

And yeah I wanted that annoying smartass kid to get gutted like a f***ing fish by that big black villian guy.
