Classical economists are more concerned about inflation than unemployment. Keynesians are more concerned about unemployment than inflation. Classical economists believe the market is free and will determine its supply and demand level. According to Keynesians, the government should maintain price stability.

The Keynesian theory implied that during a recession inflationary pressures are low, but when the level of output is at or even pushing beyond potential gross domestic product, or GDP, the economy is at greater risk for inflation.

For example, Keynesian economists would advocate deficit spending on labor-intensive infrastructure projects to stimulate employment and stabilize wages during economic downturns. They would raise taxes to cool the economy and prevent inflation when there is abundant demand-side growth.

The main difference between Keynesian and classical economics lies in the way they view interest rates. IMHO it used to not be so bad, but it seems like a lot of those folks started associating their entire identity not just with God but with Trump and Trumpism which makes the whole thing comically stupid.

I work with a guy who is a literal genius but he's a follower of Him and as such is also a staunch republican (due to anti-abortion) and loved Trump. It's so wild.
